Abstract


The problem in this study will be to see the dynamics of the development of the spread of art as well as its relation to the social stratification of the supporting community. In its development the spread of art fostered new orders for a show of necessity and it was the nature of the supporting community that made the art form different. This study aims to see the development of art in Padangpanjang. The method in research is observation research. The results of this study found that the culture of each ethnicity has differences in accordance with the nature of the culture itself, including in Padangpanjang. The changes are slow, slow and long, and eventually the changes will be different. In this case, the factors that influence the way the process of change in a particular culture covers to what extent a culture supports and approves the flexibility, needs of the culture itself at a certain time.
